In 1926 by American Harold  Cummins (1894 - May 12, 1976) who is considered as the father of dermatoglyphics.

Definition:
Dermatoglyphics is the scientific study of fingerprints (friction ridge formations which appear on the palms of the hands and soles of the feet) in order to identify someone.. Unusual dermatoglyphic patterns often relate to genetic disorders.
