Coined/History
Angiomyxoma dates back to at least 1952. These tumours develop from a type of cell called myxoid cells which are resembles to fibroblasts.
Definition
Angiomyxoma is a benign (nonmetastazing) soft tumour involving blood vessels. The treatment is surgery to remove the whole tumour. About 3 out 10 tumours will recur if they are not completely removed.
