Definition:

The branch of biology which is about the process by which organisms grow and develop and particularly for human embryology concerns the development of an embryo from the fertilization to the fetus age (about 8 weeks). In the modern sense embryology tends to be the study of the developmental aspects of life as a whole and not just the first eight weeks.
